Agent signatures

It seems that currently there is no possibility to add agent signatures to outgoing messages automatically (neither in v2 or v3). The email footer can have signature details, but they are added in the very bottom of the whole message, after all other discussion.

I would prefer a checkbox (default checked) "Add a signature" in the reply screen. The signature template could be common for all the agents (easy to change some content like business hours) with a placeholder for the agent's name. In the agent's profile, there could be an option to override the whole signature.

  • I couldn't find anywhere to add signatures either.

I would like a way for agents to put in their own signatures or for me to put in a standard signature for agents (eg. to add a "Rate This Support" with a unique url to the agent).

  • You can add a pre-defined response as a signatures to the "Outbound Routing Details" section of each email routing entry in the "Ticket Submission" part of the admin area.

That's good for a standard to all emails, but not for automatically doing individual signatures.

  • I think Sirportly assumes ticket replies come from the assigned user.

Hence you can insert a signature specific to the assigned user by using ticket variables in the canned Response.

I don't quite understand what you mean... There are ways around it like adding responses and making the agent clicking it.. but having the functionality specifically called "Agent Signatures" is what would be appreciated.

  • You will see my +1 above for the original post. That was because I agree the method for signing is somewhat complex, and some Sirportly users may prefer to allow agents to control their own signatures.

However, if you go along with the idea that the replying agent is the assigned agent, you can do it (as Edward pointed out).
