Is there a way of stopping incoming emails from posting to closed tickets? I have a macro that posts a private note when the ticket is "Status = Closed" and I use this as the last ticket update for the closure date, however posts can still be applied to the ticket after this.

Is there a setting or a known workaround which stops all following posts once the ticket is closed?

  • This is very good suggestion - especially as customers tend to reply "to the latest" e-mail also about new issues. If a ticket is closed, all upcoming replies could be automatically routed to a new ticket.

  • +1... it would be an alternative or additional feature for my subject matching tickets.

We've added a new feature for max ticket age matching that will allow you to set a maximum age per incoming address before pushing all updates to a new ticket - you can read about it at https://blog.sirportly.com/maximum-ticket-age-matching/ .
